What Is Featured: European style shopping with a gourmet lunch in a cosy cafe. Smell the flowers, sit in the sun, browse through the stores.
When: Mon -Sat 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 to 9:00 pm; some stores close at 5:30. Sunday, all stores open by noon. Closing by 6 p.m. except restaurants.
Where: Located in the city of Sarasota, St. Armands Circle is at the center of of St. Armands Key– a small island just off the Florida coast.
The island’s Main Street is lined by shops, restaurants, and other businesses giving the area its Main Street charm, albeit in a unique circular configuration.
Most parking in St. Armands Circle is free. Parking in the Circle itself is tough to come by, but if you look, you can find spots further away on John Ringling Boulevard or Boulevard of the Presidents. Your best bet will be one of the parking lots near the Circle, most of which are free. Just look for the signs.
No public restrooms are available. Be prepared to buy a snack or coffee at a cafe and ask to use their restroom.
